Your course project is comprised of one element: to complete a five to seven page written terrorist criminal case study and investigative analysis on your choice of a terrorist and/or terror group. Note: (Do not use the 911 incident, Oklahoma or the Boston Marathon Bombings) Please ensure that your paper is not more than seven pages in length, not counting the Title and the Reference pages. The purpose of this course project is for you to grasp the domestic and international impact that this terrorist attack had on society. You will also evaluate the specific and potential motives from both the terrorists’ perspective and the investigating agencies’ perspective. Further, you will address the specific tactics, technology, and tools utilized by the terrorists to carry out the attack. Additionally, you will address the tools and technology used by responding agencies in this incident.

 

Completing a thorough Investigative Analysis and Criminal Case Study on a known and convicted terrorist and/or group of terrorists will allow you to understand, interpret, and analyze the specific religious motives and beliefs, secular roots, social contexts, and ideological thoughts that these terrorist(s) may have had when carrying out this horrific sequence of events. This activity allows you to grasp the detailed skills of a terrorist investigation from a psychological, practical, and investigative perspective

 

An investigative analysis and terrorist criminal case study requires you to step back and analyze the sequence of events from a neutral standpoint. If you begin to draw a negative or positive opinion on the subject area, it will take away from the quality of content in the paper. Please be sure to compose a paper from a non-bias standpoint.

 

Directions:

 

First you will need to pick a terrorist and/or terror group. Use the internet to research your topic.

Next, you will need to submit your topic to your instructor for approval.
