There are many studies relative to project management and sustainability. However, there are not very many studying the relationship of sustainability and project success. This journal article researches the relationship of sustainability and project success.
Sustainability in this context is “planning, monitoring and controlling of project delivery and support processes, with consideration of the environment, economic and social aspects of the lifecycle of the project’s resources, processes, deliverables and ethics.”
Project success is pre-determined by success criteria (measures and measurements) and factors, sometimes called performance indicators. Typically, the “big three” project criteria are quality, schedule/time and cost/budget.
