– You will prepare an original prerequisite reflective essay (PRE) on your Distributed Leader Course (DLC) IV experience complete DLC IV, write the essay from the perspective of Structured Self Development (SSD) IV.) The intent of this prerequisite reflective essay is for your facilitator to get a feel for your writing style and capability.
– You will write in a clear and concise manner while using correct grammar, sentences structure, and word usage. You must provide a coherent transition from one topic to the next using the provided rubric as a general guideline. Your essay must be in Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, double spaced, APA 7th Edition, STUDENT PAPER, NO RUNNING HEADS, NO ABSTRACT, minimum of three pages, and no longer than five pages in length, not including the title and reference pages. The purpose of this paper is to allow facilitators to provide learners with feedback on their current writing ability. The PRE is a course requirement, and due NLT the Friday prior to your report date for the course. The PRE will be uploaded into Blackboard in Word format.
– This reflective essay does not weigh into your final GPA, but it is used to assess other areas of your Service School Academic Evaluation Report (DA Form 1059), please do the best that you can. You can use the Purdue OWL website to guide you in setting the APA format.
*Note, this class was horribly put together, graphics were bad, and the flow was hard to follow. It taught me that in person classes are a better choice for learning critical military developmental programs.
It changed me in a way as to ensure my troops understand that they can take it for a grain of salt.
