research articles on the criminal investigative process (e.g., initial report, initial investigation/police contact, computer-aided investigation, incident review/case screening, follow-up investigations, case preparation and approval, prosecution and charging of crime, and conclusion) conducted by a criminal investigator. Be prepared to discuss.
Include at least two examples from real life or stories from the television and news from within the past three years to illustrate at least two of the steps. Note: Some popular television shows to consider include NCIS, The First 48, and Homicide Hunter.
Discuss the pros and cons of computer-aided investigations. Provide a rationale to support your response and respond to no less than one of your peers.
