25 Jul Spiritual Community Support Strategy for A Healthy Faith Discussion
We have spent a great deal of time in discussing issues related to both the counselor and the counselee. Yet what exactly does a healthy faith look like? If a counselor can understand what a healthy faith looks like, then he or she can utilize the counseling sessions as well as support from various aspects of the spiritual community to help in the healing process.
- Read Chapter 10 of your text by Arterburn and Felton.
- Prepare to engage in discussion the following:
- What does a healthy faith look like? What sort of things should one look for in a counseling session?
- What sort of group activities outside of the counseling environment (i.e. a “spiritual community”) would be helpful in providing support to the counselee?
- What group activities might be avoided (think about the messages the counselee might receive
