This assignment asks you to select a local agency that in some way helps community members. 

Background/History. Tell your reader about the organization. Describe its purpose or goal(s) or mission. Share about who started the agency and why they did. Is there a backstory? [1 page]

Programs. Describe in detail the program(s) available. For example, a drug treatment center may have inpatient treatment as well as outpatient counseling. An agency aimed at helping families may hold parenting classes, distribute diapers, contribute to utility bills, and/or offer short-term shelter. [1 page]

Recipients. Identify the targeted population? Describe the ways in which participants may benefit? Explain the application process, if applicable. Lay out any special requirements for participation. ? If there is a priority system in place, include that. Illustrate what the expectations are for participants. [1 page]

Conclusion. This ending can be either a summary of the organization or a more personal reflection on how learning about the organization impacted you. Only share what you feel comfortable with. [½ page]
