Overview: Students will demonstrate their mastery of statistical analysis by summarizing an influential piece of scholarly research that uses econometric methods. Students will prepare an oral presentation of this research and find at least three additional examples of scholarly research to illustrate its influence. Students will be evaluated on their oral presentation skill, the accuracy of their content, and the quality of the sources used.

Contents of the Presentation:

1. An overview of the main research question, empirical strategy (what data are used and how the results were calculated), and the main results. 3-5 minutes

1. A brief overview of three related papers with an explanation about how they are similar in terms of the research question, empirical strategy, or main results. 2-3 minutes

The presentation should be at least 5 minutes long but no longer than 10 minutes to address these points.
