Argumentative Essay:
Analyze, Evaluate, and Resolve a contemporary moral issue by applying the theoretical position of one of the three main philosophers studied in this course (Aristotle, Kant, or Mill). Do not discuss all three: pick one.
- The argumentative essay should be between 2 and 5 pages: double spaced. (The essay should be between 600 and 1500 words.)
- Students will be required to use at least two primary sources and one secondary source when preparing for their essay (include a bibliography.)
- The textbook is not a primary source. (It is a secondary source)

- For the purposes of this essay, a primary source is anything that was written by the philosopher selected for this essay (i.e. Aristotle, Kant, or Mill.) Use the following links to access free copies of their personal writings:

Examples of contemporary Ethical problems include, but are not limited to: abortion, euthanasia, animal rights, policing, public health, political advertisements, citizenship, etc.
Pick an issue (i.e. problem) that you would like to explore. Provide a representative case of this issue, your presentation of the issue should be specific, well-articulated, and factual. Include any sources utilized in developing your understanding of the issue in your bibliography.
Provide a detailed explanation regarding how we should analyze, evaluate, and resolve the moral issue that you’ve selected based on the moral theory of Aristotle, Mill, or Kant.
