1. Talk with an APRN who is employed in your area of practice. Determine the following: 
   1. Are the APRNs unit based? If so, what is the method of patient care delivery on the unit, that is, primary care, team nursing, PFC?
   2. What are the advantages and disadvantages to the APRN role related to each and the different delivery methods? 
   3. Do the APRNs have staff or line authority? What are the advantages and disadvantages to the role of each type of authority?
   4. Administratively, do the APRNs report to a senior or middle-level managers?
   5. Do any of the APRNs work in a shared governance environment?
2. Then, talk to a nurse administrator, a nurse researcher, and an APRN, about future issues in nursing and health care delivery. 
   1. What changes do they anticipate in the next few years?
   2. How should currently practicing nurses prepare for the future?

1. Discuss the roles of the ARNPs or APNs employed by health care organization related to quality improvement activities in your communities. 
   1. Are the ARNPs and other APNs the leaders of quality improvement teams?
   2. What significant contributions have occurred as a result of the ARNPs or APNs involvement in Q I teams? What are your thought on it?
2. Explain your answer and compare your thoughts with those of your classmates.
