Conduct an internet search on “Retail Ethical Issues,” “Retail Ethics,” or some other keyword search. Find five ethical issues that have a bearing on your retail context (Nordstrom). These issues can run in any direction of the retail channel. For instance, there are some ethical questions concerning “slotting fees” that grocery stores charge manufacturers, a practice that can severely limit competition downstream. Grocery stores also continue to use single-use plastic bags though they are a clear and present danger to the environment and our ability to continue living in it, putting the onus of dealing with the problem on consumers, pushing the problem upstream.
Outline the five ethical issues you discover that potentially apply to Nordstrom, and then spend your 500 words and 5 paragraphs to describe them, making sure you demonstrate that you understand the issue at hand.
