This time, there is only one question: “How my research about____________ helps me have a deeper understanding of “Tartuffe.”

Requirements:

You must do outside research using 2-3 outside sources ,not including Wikipedia, following my guidelines on the syllabus: no student websites, only English language sources that I can read.
You must use a method of documenting your sources: either MLA
That means in-text citations and bibliography after all quotes, paraphrases, and summaries.
750 words, not including the bibliography
You must include sentence-long quotes from the play to support your ideas.
This must be a thesis driven essay with basic essay structure. Your thesis will answer the above highlighted question.
You can do research on one of these topics:
- Moliere’s life.
- Women’s position in 17th Century France.
- Social class differences in 17th Century France: the nobility, the peasantry, etc.
- The court of Louis XIV [the 14th] of France.
- Fashions and costumes in Moliere’s plays.
- The history of “Tartuffe.”
