Develop two instructional activities that could be integrated into your classroom teaching experience. One activity must be drama-based and the other activity story-based. In a word document, include the following:
1. Title for the activity/game
2. Grade Level: 2nd grade
3. Procedure for instructing the activity/game
4. The core subject area (ex. Math, social studies, literacy, science etc.)
5. The state standards (Arizona state standards) to which the lesson is aligned.
6. Integrated area (ex. Drama or Story-telling)
7. You must provide a detailed explanation of how the integrated art form i.e. the drama or storytelling component is connected to the core discipline.
8. In addition to the two activity overviews, provide a 1-2 page summary that explains the correlation between drama and story based activities and academic achievement. Why are these strategies effective in the classroom? Why are these activities important to integrate into core subject areas? How will you go about enduring these activities are part of your curriculum? Support your opinion with 2-3 scholarly references cited in APA format.
