In this assignment, you are to assume that a British Missionary with diabetes and hypertension is moving to Ghana. In a 200-word paper, you are asked to prepare a fact sheet for the missionary. The fact sheet should describe the differences the patient can expect to encounter from each country’s healthcare system. Be sure to use correct APA formatting (including in-text citations and references). Include as much information as possible, but be sure to include the differences in both (1) prevention and (2) resources available in both countries. What would be ideal is if your paper included a comparative analysis of the two countries’ prevention services, physician resources, nursing resources, hospitals available, clinics available, and pharmacies available.
This assignment asks you to do some research. Utilize the Ghana and England attachments (site as Ghana/England) and at least one web page to gather information (remember to cite your references). The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize you with common, reliable, and useful Internet resources used in the field of global and international medicine. The assignment asks you to use critical thinking skills to problem solve a request for information in a realistic case study that could easily occur in a healthcare practice with patients that travel abroad.
