Change over Time Participation Activity

Change over Time is an important analytical tool in historical writing. In this activity, I want you to think about how things have changed in the recent past. Provide THREE examples (they can be political, social, cultural, economic, or even personal (but not too personal) of how things have changed from the way they were 10 years ago and today.
For each example use the following format: Describe what things were like 10 years ago, describe the change, describe how things are now.
Here is a personal example that might work for some of you (you cannot use this one). Ten years ago I was living in a rented apartment, I saved my money and now I am living in a house I own.
Here is an economic example (you cannot use this one). Ten years ago bookstores still sold the majority of books, after the development of smartphones and tablets, sales of ebooks are skyrocketing and online sales are higher than brick and mortar bookstores today.
