A minimum of two double-spaced pages. MLA style.  This is a very broad question. You can take any angle you want on this question. The main goal is to analyze/examine the two works in relation to each other in some way. For example, the response could compare and contrast themes, characters, main ideas, etc. In addition, consider Sarah Schulman’s criticism of Rent and AIDS activism as you compare and contrast the two texts.

The focus is on analysis. Organization, formatting, grammar and spelling will also be graded. Focus on a thoughtful approach and analysis of the texts, ideas, issues, and the representation of AIDs and LGBTQ in the media.
