The burden that the white races must hold help the non-white races in developing civilization is how the speaker interprets white imperialism and colonialism in ethical terms. The It encompasses a persuasive moral reasoning for American imperialism. White people's burden is still widely recognized as a discriminatory rationale for Western dominance.

The piece indicates a lot about the European rationalizations of colonialism, whereby it was seen as highly necessary. The White Man's Burden depicts white people's subjugation of non-white individuals as their altruistic ethical responsibility. Based on the poem, this is being executed expressly for the benefit of the subjugated, rather than for one's country (History Matters, n.d). The white race will put other people's needs before its own, and white conquerors will strive for and pursue another's an advantage. The non-white individuals will be exposed to the light.

According to the professor, Europeans were motivated by nationalism, national pride, and the desire for power against their rival nations that had extended to various parts of the world (The Chronicler’s Tale, 2021). The tremendous industrial powers fell in love with the idea of flying their national flags worldwide as their populations began to identify as British, German, and French strongly. The governments of Britain, France, Germany, and other European powers were pushed into the competition by nationalism, first within Europe and then globally. Imperialists were driven by nationalism to seize new colonies before their rivals could.

Based on his presentation, Professor Weber viewed colonialism as a bad thing. This can be evidenced by the examples he gave, which resulted from colonialism and colonial powers' attempts to gain power. Children had to work long hours in industries until they were so tired that they fell into the machines and were significantly hurt. Additionally, families shared their dilapidated living areas with animals.

I do not think the views from the poem have disappeared from western cultures. Instead, these views have manifested in other oppressive forms, such as racial discrimination and increasing power grabbing by nations from the west. A good example is the invasion of Russia in Ukraine.

"The white man's burden," of which Kipling writes, is the burden of the white man helping to civilize the locals when colonizing a new land. Kipling when it comes to "the white man's burden" in the end says, "Comes now, to search your manhood through all the thankless years, Cold-edged with dear-bought wisdom, The judgment of your peers!" (Kipling). What he means here is that once a native is educated and civilized according to the views of the white man, he or she can now spread what they have learned to other natives. The view of "the white man's burden" was shared around the world by pro-imperialism individuals in the United States and the European powers that possessed colonies.

This poem tells me about European rationalizations of colonialism in that the Europeans believed and rationalized that colonialism was for the greater good of the native population already living there. They rationalized that if the natives learned and conformed to the ways of the white man, then they would benefit more from colonialism.

According to Professor Weber in the film, the thing that motivated Europeans to conquer colonies was to export their conflicts along with their trade. Professor Weber also mentioned that there was a sense of adventure and mission in colonizing new areas. Lastly, he mentioned that rivalry among other great European powers motivated them to conquer colonies.

The position that Prof. Weber does take on the morality of colonialism is that he stated that colonialism was good and bad. He said that colonialism was good in that it helped end the slave trade in Africa and helped develop cures for a lot of diseases. When it comes to what was bad about colonialism, he mentioned that it produced a lot of European hypocrisy and brutality, with European doctors unknowingly causing a lot of overpopulation issues in the colonies.

I do not think views like those expressed in Kipling's poem have disappeared from Western culture because, while colonialism and colonies may be things of the past, those views have not died off. A lot of individuals in the Western world believe, for example, that countries in Africa and the Middle East would benefit more if they acted like those who live in the West, and a lot of people still probably view dealing with their populations as a burden.

Rudyard Kipling's poem, "The White Man's Burden", is a tribute to American colonialism in the Philippines after Spain relinquished control in 1898. Kipling believed that American colonialism would improve conditions in the Philippines. At that time many Americans believed it was a burden, and he wrote poems to encourage Americans to engage in colonialism. However, the entire poem can be considered satirical work. It is described in poetry as "The Savage War of Peace, Filling the Hungry Mouth and Paying the End of Disease". Assimilation of goodwill and to justify Kipling's act of wresting the Philippines from the Spanish colonialists and into the American empire. Kipling wanted the Americans to take their place in the imperial world, just as Britain and other European countries did. This poem embodies Kipling's racist and colonialist ideology and believes in the colonial mission of colonization. From this poem, the phrase "White Man's Burden" – White Man's Burden is used with the view that civilizing the "uncivilized" peoples is the mission of white people. The meaning is that the colonization will open the opportunity to re-integrate world civilization. But the fatigue and effort of white people will not be understood. I think the motive behind colonizing Europe was to extend their influence to all continents with backward civilizations. Because they believed that dominating their impoverished territories would bring happiness and security. This is understandable as nations that become powerful often apply. Establish areas where they feel needed, important presence in the future. It also attracts the search for invaluable resources that generate many benefits for domestic industry. Weber is considered right, applying a strong way but must return in an orderly manner in the spirit of the law. Weber has always argued that the Protestant ethic has a connection with the spirit of capitalism. Therefore, some spiritual impetus has been created for the development of capitalism in Europe. From his view we can see that capitalism will have a different development and this difference is partly due to religion. I think there are still views as expressed in Kipling's poem towards Western culture. I mean the early development of urban civilization. Westerners soon had a sense of competition with nature and conquered and conquered nature. Desire to conquer the world to affirm the power of rational man. But these are all trends of the world today. It is no longer a monopoly of the West. Any powerful nation can adopt it.
