The purpose of this assignment is to explore the variety of ways in which management information systems are used in work or in life.

In the text attached below, it talks about the five functions of a management information system and how employees use it. Look at the functions and discuss the role you play in the MIS (Management Information System) at your workplace (office) or at home.  (For example, if you are a cashier you are collecting data.  When a customer buys something, often the cashier scans a barcode which is a way to collect inventory information for the retailer.  This information is used by the manager when ordering more product or analyzing sales information.)
