Write a brief narrative that identifies/restates the main research question, and your sub-questions. You will also choose the research design and format for your proposed capstone: 

Hypothesis based format: This is used when the researcher is testing a relationship between two (or more) variables. The hypothesis format will include an independent and dependent variable. In this design, a relationship of causation or correlation is explored

Question-based format: This design is in the form of a research question in which research is used to inform an answer or description. This is often used in descriptive research and is usually based on a broader research question. 

Assumption based format: This is where the researcher has an assumption which will be either validated or invalidated through the process of research.

If you plan to use a hypothesis in your research, please include both the independent and dependent variables for your research project. An independent variable is the variable that the researcher controls, or manipulates in some way. The dependent variable is the change or outcome the researcher will measure.

Also, after reading Chapter 4 in your textbook, provide a brief overview of how you may measure a change or effect in your dependent variable.

And finally, please include a brief statement on how you will ensure the study is achievable for an EMPA student with limited time and resources.
