16 Mar introduction to the Pastorals
A. A 5-6 page paper [no more, no less] (complete with text notes and at least 10 items in the bibliography) on an introduction to the Pastorals, dealing with the following: a. Authorship b. Date, c. Occasion, d. Purpose. Include a discussion of some of the problems in the books (Authorship, vocabulary, et al.), or:
B. An in-depth exegesis of a brief pericope in the Pastorals, or:
C. An in-depth analysis of one theme or word in the Pastorals, such as “deposit” or “tradition” or “doctrine,” or:
D. Two sermons or lessons, two to three pages in length [no more, no less]. These should be in the form of a detailed outline with one paragraph for introduction and one for conclusion. Include illustrations. These must be based in the Pastorals.
