Gender identity has become an increasingly important topic in American society. But what is gender? And more particularly, what is the relationship between one’s biological sex and one’s gender identity/gender expression? In your posting, discuss whether one’s gender is determined by biology or whether the two are independent of one another. What influenced the formation of gender identity, and consequently, the outward expression of gender? Please be specific.
