Analyzing a Director or Producer
Introduction
In this activity, take what we have discussed about performances–the directors and management. How do directors or producers impact the way a performance gets adapted?
What to Do:
1. Pick two performances, which are adaptations of one another. (For example, “A Star is Born”, “Annie”, “The Lion King” have been done multiple times).
2. Watch both performances.
3. Review what we have discussed about directing and production management in class and our lessons.
4. make an argument about how the director or producer altered the performance.
