Find a tax related article (Canadian taxation, CRA related, etc) from the past year. In a word document, post the link to the article and tell me how it related to any of the chapters that we have covered so far (i.e., Chapters 1 8), or any of the topics that we have discussed in class (we have talked about things that are outside of these chapters). I want you to pick something that is interesting to you, or something that you have always wondered about and use the text / course materials to help understand the problem / issue.
For example: Anything regarding changes, updates, controversy, when it comes to Employment income, Business Income, Property Income, Capital Gains, Deductions, Tax rates, etc.
In your submission incorporate the following points:
Provide a summary description of the article
What are the main tax issues
What are the issues related to the business, government, community / society, stakeholders, etc.
What is your opinion on the status of the issue?
If it is an ongoing issue, how do you think it will / should be resolved
If it has been resolved, do you agree or disagree with the resolution
Include the reference to the article through a link or a copy of the article itself
You dont need to write more than 1 to 2 pages (submitted in Word/PDF), 12-point font, single spaces.
