Short preview of five main points to support your persuasive argument
Body (80% of your overall persuasive presentation)
Five main points to support your persuasive argument
Support each of these five main points in the form of your research, personal stories, statistics, examples, etc. Be sure to alternate between fact and story for audience engagement.
Conclusion (10% of your overall persuasive presentation)
Brief summary of the five main points
Restatement of persuasive argument
Call to action
Develop a slideshow with your seven to eight-minute Persuasive Presentation Outline. Your slides should apply the best practices for visual communication and slide design shared in our readings, videos, and lessons from all previous modules. You may use PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, or any other slide-creation tool.
A good rule of thumb is to transfer your outline to the Presenters Notes? of your slideshow to help you stay on track.
Your slideshow should include one main idea per slide. You may use as many slides as you need to visually communicate and support your persuasive argument. Slides should contain a large, clear image?often fullscreen. Limit the amount of text on each slide. Eliminate noise? and clutter (too many fonts, too many colors, overlapping images, etc.).
Dont forget the following requirements for your persuasive presentation:
Use your instructor-approved topic and clear, persuasive argument
Include an introduction, body, and conclusion using Duartes 10/80/10 organizational model from our outline peer review
Include research from five sources along with citations in APA format
Include ethos, pathos, and logos
seven to eight minutes total presentation length
Visually-driven slideshow
Authentic and natural delivery versus reading word-for-word from a script
