writing exercise and need support to help me learn.

The Scenario
In this assignment, you are Peter Street, CEO of AXR (you may use your own name on the documents, however).
Jackson Maulberry, a Research and Development leader for you at AXR, has identified some important improvements in microchip technology that could benefit both your American and Japanese clients. He has delivered presentations on the technology to the engineers and, subsequently, to you directly. You believe the advance in technology would be very important for AXR and its parent company, Japan Motors, and that Jackson has a good plan for integrating the technology into your current engineering practices.

With your approval, Jackson began developing a pitch and planning for a trip to Japan. You know he had been hoping for an opportunity like this since the acquisition, but you have come to realize that “if one of your team members gave a presentation to the Japanese managers, they essentially paid no attention.”

Write a bad news letter to Jackson explaining that he has no reason to pack his bags; his presentation will be delivered to upper-management by a Japan-based colleague. Be sure to lead with a rationale for the bad news, and to develop a resolution that will keep Jackson focused on continuing his good work.
As you write, be sure to use at least one detail or reference from our case and ensure that you control the tone of your message with strategic word choice.
