focus on your ability to explain the information presented in the past weeks that has incorporated learning about contemporary drug use, as related to legislative changes, the synthetic opioid fentanyl being used alone or mixed with heroin, and societal norms and/or acceptance of drug use. You have learned about pharmacology and psychopharmacology as related to the complexity of human drug consumption on biological, psychological and social levels. With all of this in mind, in an APA format, select at least 2 illegal drugs (opioids, cocaine, methamphetamine, etc.) and compare with alcohol, nicotine or caffeine) and discuss in terms of the effects on the body, mind and society. You may discuss also in terms of the legalities and treatment perspectives when doing your comparisons. Feel free to include a discuss about marijuana as well because depending on the state or region in which you reside, perspectives may vary.  You must present at least two journal articles to support your perspectives and reasoning.
