After watching the videos in the resource section, write a reflection paper. In your reflection paper, be sure to address each of the following. Integrate theoretical information specific to this model that you found in your readings.

 

· Introduce narrative family therapy. Identify the primary contributors, and then, explain the context of the theorists at that time (e.g., place, background, interests).

 

· Comment on the therapeutic relationship.

 

· Explain the methods therapists use to separate the person from the problem. How do they thicken the family story to enrich its narrative?

 

· Identify and describe model interventions that you saw in these client interactions in the videos.

 

· Explore how social constructionist therapists work to stabilize, normalize, and create acceptance in clients as methods of solving the concerns of clients. They also focus on strengths and resiliency. Cite at least two or more examples, in detail, where you witnessed this strategy.

 

· What would be your systemic hypothesis regarding the couple in the video?

 

· Determine how you could apply mental health recovery concepts to the cases in the videos.

 

Support your assignment with at least three scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.
