Approaching the Crime Scene
A plan for approaching and processing a crime scene is a crucial step towards ensuring that the search is done systematically. Establishing a plan entails defining the roles of various individuals involved in the search, and determining how they should proceed.
An anonymous caller has reported seeing a dead body in city park, but not given the exact location of the body. You are a crime scene investigator and assigned to search a 3-acre city park. As a team leader, you need to go to the crime scene, and search for the body and evidence of the crime. Assume that you have followed all the necessary steps in preparation for a crime scene search.

What is the best way to enter the scene? Explain.
Discuss your plan for processing the scene? Where would you establish a command center and what would the command center be used for?
What steps would you take to secure the scene and prevent the loss of evidence or contamination of evidence located on the scene.
