Part II: Many fire departments (and other agencies) have taken advantage of grant opportunities to offset budget deficits. Others have used grant funding to support new initiatives. Recognizing that the grant awards are competitive, your agency may have developed a grant proposal but was not awarded the funds.
Please respond to the following questions:
Has your agency developed a grant proposal for a new program to impact the safety and health of its members? What information was used to develop this grant proposal? If your agency has not developed a grant proposal previously, what issue would you recommend addressing in a future grant proposal? What information would you use to justify the proposal?
