Research on the Spread of Chinese Films Overseas by Taking the Award-winning Films in Cannes Film Festival as an Example
The literature review is where you survey existing scholarship (not all, but certainly the most relevant) that is related to your research area. What you need to do is show (1) that you are capable of doing academic research, and are aware of and have engaged with this existing scholarship; (2) that you can situate your own research within it and do so by identifying how your study builds on and differs from this research; and identiyfy as well (3) any problems or gaps in the field and how your research responds to them. All of this will help to establish your original contribution to knowledge in this specific research area.
