For your first entry in your writer’s journal, introduce yourself to your instructor by answering ALL of these prompt questions:

· Describe your  previous experiences with writing: good, bad, and ugly. What sorts of feedback have you gotten from others on your writing? What do you feel are your strengths and challenges as a writer?

· What are  your goals for this course? What do you hope to come away from this course with? How can your instructor help you achieve those goals?

· Which of this week’s  readings connected with you most, and why? Select a particular  quotation that stood out to you, and explain why this quotation was so important. Use the guidelines from this unit’s lectures to  quote,  explain, and  cite this source.

· What did you gain from this unit’s  discussion of “conventional wisdom” about writing? What stood out to you in this unit’s discussion? What could you, your instructor, and/or your classmates do next unit to improve discussion?
