Individual Assignment

This homework carries 10% of the course grade.

Q1. Conduct research on the internet/periodicals/journals/news media and write a

report on the biggest engineering technology management challenge today’s

corporations face and write a report not exceeding 1,000 words or 4 pages, with

recommendations to overcome the challenges.

The document will have a title page (student name, company or industry chosen.

Students need to use the template provided in Brightspace.

At least 2 new external research references with date accessed.

You can use your own company in this homework.

You can also tailor this to a specific industry – such as: Semi-Conductors,

Automobile, Apparel, Software, eCommerce, etc.

Tie the challenge to a company’s vision/mission.

Include exploring with new and developing technologies like Artificial

Intelligence, Blockchain, etc., and indicate how it would help to meet the

challenge.

The conclusion should include your views and thoughts on the challenge and what

you would recommend should be changed or initiated to meet the challenge.

Use the tools like SWOT analysis and gap analysis to make your argument as to

why the industry/company is having the challenge.

Identify new and different strategies required to meet the challenge.

This essay homework writing should be properly organized by sections (see point

allocations below as a guidance) and NOT a long essay.

The ideas communicated must be clear, brief and to the point.

once so you can check, correct, and re-submit (it will overwrite your previous
