Discussion Board Topic: In recent years, taxes have become more of an issue than it has been in the last generation.Taxes are used to fund programs such as the D.A.R.E. that was used in schools.  Evidenced based research had shown for years that the program was not effective but it was kept at the insistence of police and parents.  Discuss whether the legislators should be required to provide empirical evidence that programs are working before they continue to be funded.
