As part of the Counselor Education Program each student is required to complete at minimum 2 different types of meetings.
A meeting log form must be completed for each meeting that you attend and submitted to student advisor.
Each log must be completed thoroughly.
This experiential component of the program is designed to provide you with hands onexperience and knowledge of the types of meetings (self-help, 12-step, etc.) that are available for you to refer the clients to that you may be responsible for counseling.
This is a part of the grading system for:
“12 Step and Other Self Help” AS WELL AS THE EXPOSURE THAT YOU NEED AS A POTENTIAL COUNSELOR WORKING IN THE FIELD OF ADDICTIONS.
