You are serving as a volunteer member of your community board and have learned that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has an initiative called Health Impact in 5 Years (HI-5). Interventions are based on the health impact pyramid factors that affect health.
Review “NACRHHS Policy Brief: Social Determinants of Health” and “Health Impact in 5 Years” from this week’s learning activities.
Respond to the following:
• Identify 1 key priority for your community from the list of health conditions in the HI-5 article. Draft a statement proposing a new law or regulation that will effectively address the identified issues in your community. Identify your audience (who you will speak to), the top priorities, appropriate interventions, and what you would like to see accomplished.
