You are currently an outpatient clinic manager. You’ve been asked to serve on an outreach committee tasked with identifying the future health care needs of your community and developing a strategic plan focused on the organization’s response to those needs.
Preparation
Research and select an issue from one of the following categories that have or may have an influence on U.S. health care policies:
o Changing social norms at the state level
o Shifting health care priorities in the U.S.
o Impacts of global health care on U.S. policy
o Effects of the U.S. health care system on the natural environment

Record a 3- to 5-minute elevator speech in which you argue your position on the impact the selected issue may have on future health care policy. In your elevator speech:
o Describe the selected issue.
o Identify people or groups of people the issue impacts.
o Describe the impact the issue has at the state and federal level.
o Describe whether the issue will or should change health care policy.
o Defend your position with scholarly literature.
Note: Your elevator speech should be submitted as an .mp4 file or .mov file and must include video and audio.
Cite at least 2 scholarly sources to support your elevator speech. Include your APA-formatted references either by attaching a separate Word document or by typing directly in the Submission area.
