Here again is the Basic Problem of Evil:

1. If God is omnipotent, then God is able to prevent evil

2. If God is omnibenevolent, then God wants to prevent evil

3. If God is omniscient, then God knows how to prevent evil.

4. If a 3 "O" God exists, there is no evil.

5. There is evil.

6. Thus, a 3 "O" God does not exist.

Is this argument persuasive? Why or why? Be clear and precise in your comments (e.g. stating which step of the argument you are challenging or defending), and most importantly, be respectful and civil in your exchanges with others. Religion can be a sensitive topic for many people!

Humans are meant to suffer there is no possibility that God can come to earth and take all of our sufferings away. He might minimize our suffering by a bit but we as human beings are born to suffer to build character. This argument is persuasive because numbers 1-3 give a brief definition of the 3 “o” on what god can and can't do. I would like to elaborate on numbers 4-6 “If a 3 “O” God exists, there is no evil”, I firmly believe no one not even God has the power to eliminate evil. I feel like there would be evil in this world no matter what you to do prevent it there for a 3 “O” doesn't exist. Although not evil is good I feel like a little bit of evil in the world helps balance out our way of living. Maybe in another lifetime a God will the 3” O”  exist and take all of our suffering away.
