Health care innovation is needed as it can bring about better quality of patient care, improved population health, and lower health care costs. Walston and Johnson (2022) classified three types of health care innovations:
(a) consumer-focused innovations
(b) technology innovations
(c) business model innovations
Health care organizations that are creative and innovative will constantly increase their competitive advantage to survive and flourish.
For this assignment, you are taking on the role of a newly hired hospital administrator at Ashford Hospital that is a small community hospital located in the Midwest. After having a meeting with your executive team, you recognize that the processes, procedures, and equipment are outdated, leading to employee burnout. The board members ask you to present your evaluations and recommendations for improvements to enable employees to do their job effectively and efficiently.
For this assignment, you must prepare a thorough PowerPoint presentation and record a screencast video of your PowerPoint presentation.
