How to find your State Board of Counseling’s Rules and Regulations
1. Google your state board of professional counseling or marriage and family therapy (e.g.,“Texas state board of professional counseling”).
2. Click on the website to bring up the webpage of your state board of counseling.
3. Once you have found the website, you will need to find the prerequisite requirements for licensure. Search the website to find the information you need. Terms such a, “application for licensure” or “Laws, Policies, Rules” may prove useful. In this screen, you will notice that the heading “Rules and Regulations” is located on the right hand side of the page.
