In Chapter 1 of The 27 Challenges Managers Face by Bruce Tulgan, he addresses the importance of management fundamentals. In his opinion, “what’s missing is almost always the fundamentals.”
In Chapter 1 of The Five Languages of Appreciation in the Workplace, the authors situate appreciation as a fundamental of a thriving workplace.
1. Give an example from the news or your own organization of “undermanagement” and it’s affect on the workplace.
2. Give an example from the news or your won organization of “motivating by appreciation” and it’s affect on the workplace.
