Consider how your social roles impact your self-concept and self-esteem. Our social roles are determined by our closest relationships, such as son, brother, friend, significant other, father, etc. How we act, think about ourselves, and feel about ourselves often changes based on which social role we’re playing.
Discuss and share the social role you are most comfortable playing and share an example of how you typically act while in that role. In what ways does playing this role influence how you communicate? How does this role impact your self-concept and self-esteem?
How would your life be different without this role. How would your self-concept and self-esteem change?
