02 Mar Write a letter from the perspective of one of the characters or villain in your favorite horror film, show, novel, story, or video game
You will write a letter from the perspective of one of the characters or villain in your favorite horror film, show, novel, story, or video game. The letter can be addressed to another character in the film, a loved one, the audience, an unknown reader, or even a diary.
Your letter should contain the following:
Capture the character’s personality, fears, and emotions – Think about their state of mind at the time of writing. Are they terrified, guilty, angry, or desperate?
Reference major events from the text – Include specific details about what they have experienced. How do they feel about what happened?
Maintain a consistent and believable voice – The letter should sound like it was truly written by the character, using language that fits their personality and background.
Guiding Questions to Help You Get Started:
What moment in the text is your character writing from? Before or after a major event? Are they still in danger?
Who are they writing to, and why? Are they warning someone? Seeking help? Confessing something? Reflecting on their trauma?
What emotions are driving them to write? Fear, regret, revenge, hopelessness?
How has the horror affected them? Do they feel haunted, paranoid, or resigned to their fate?
Follow MLA guidelines and provide a works cited page. This assignment will be 500-650 words.
(Any notes on a separate file about what you’ll be writing about so I can understand the assignment would be appreciated)
