A witness described seeing a 45-year-old friend being beaten about the head and body with a baseball bat 3 months earlier in the summertime. Complete skeletal remains have been brought to you for identification.
Examination revealed that the skull shows a localized depressed fracture in the parietal bone and sagittal suture showed no union.
Please comment on those findings and if those skeletal remains belong to the 45-year-old man with an explanation.
