1) Advocating for patients comes in many forms. As a DNP leader, you will be in a position to influence the advocacy process within an organization. How are some ways a nursing leader can advocate for patients through the policies (organizations or government)?
2) As you shadow a leader in a clinical organization this week (it can be your workplace), share with your classmates your observations on the five nurse executive role-specific competencies from the AONL observed this week:
– 1) Communication and relationship building
– 2) Knowledge of the health care environment
– 3) Leadership
– 4) Professionalism
– 5) Business Skills
