14 Apr Global Health Needs Challenges and Intervention Proposal
Goal: To create a proposal for an evidence-based intervention to address observed health inequalities after conducting a thorough needs assessment of a chosen community or demographic group in a low- or middle-income nation.
Conduct Needs Assessment: (50pts)
Choose a community or population group in a low- or middle-income in your STATE that is particularly struggling with health issues (such as, health inequality, nutrition, abuse of medications, slum, access to health care etc.). Obtain background information on the population, health indicators, healthcare system in place, customs of the community, and socioeconomic factors that affect health. (Internet search)
Suggestion for Intervention: (25pts)
Intervention Proposal:
Based on the need’s assessment findings, develop a comprehensive proposal for an evidence-based intervention to address identified health disparities.
Clearly define the objectives, target population, intervention strategies, and expected outcomes of the proposed intervention.
Ensure that the intervention aligns with the cultural context, resources, and capacities of the community and incorporates principles of sustainability and equity.
Presentation and Discussion: (25pts)
Present the needs assessment findings, intervention proposal, and implementation plan in a PowerPoint form and upload it for grading
