10 May Describe the arguments of Albert Ellis’s ABC theory
Research Report
After reading the module and reviewing the information from the study references, each student will write a research report where:
· Present a critical summary of arguments about cognitive distortions in Aaron Beck’s model.
· Briefly explain the distortion and provide at least two examples you have observed in your life or that of someone you know (do not provide sensitive//personal information that could identify that person).
· Then, mention how you believe this has affected the life of that person or those people.
· Describe the arguments of Albert Ellis’s ABC theory.
· Write at least two examples for: the activating event, thoughts and beliefs, and consequences.
· Prepare a table organizing the similarities and differences between Albert Ellis’s and Aaron Beck’s models.
· Finally, indicate which of the models you identify with more and explain your reasons.
Contribute a minimum of 2 pages. It should include at least 2 academic sources, formatted and cited in APA.
