Using the Remembering the Light Within text and other resources found through research, students will open their thinking to include practice they might never have considered. in this writing, students will discuss five different religions or spiritual practices. Consider older practices and newer paths to the divine. Why is spirituality worth learning about and practicing? What is the value of spirituality? Is one better than another? What is religious law? Universal Spiritual laws?
For example, students are encouraged to consider… play as a spiritual path, creative expression, the Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity, Islam… Older religions such as Hinduism or ancient ways of life, called Paganism – those early earth based cultural practices that were and still are rejected by many other religions. Please also consider… ancient wisdom, feminine deity worship, esoteric and mystial traditions such as Kaballah, Sufism, Rusicrucian and many others. What about Satanic cults and rituals? – what is the history of all of that?
You might also consider topics related to the Higher Self and the concepts of Awakening, Enlightenment and Ascension. Christ Consciousness is related to these ideas and can be found within and throughout elevated states of consciousness. The power of love and heart centered spiritual practices might include meditation and altered states of consciousness as well as other embodied practices such as yoga. There are so many around the globe… please research all you can find before you make your choices. Muslim prayer traditions combine aspects of cleansing preparation, movement and graciousness in receiving Allah.
