All three parts of the Signature Assignment will be graded using the SPH205 Signature Assignment Rubric.

  1. The students will be able to draft an essay supported by specific details and examples.
  2. The students will be able to outline information to organize, select, and relate ideas.
  3. The students will be able to write a paragraph that contains a topic sentence, at least three supporting sentences, and a concluding sentence.
  4. The students will be able to write an essay with a three-part structure (introduction, body, and conclusion) that develops a main idea.
  5. The students will be able to support general statements with specific details and examples.
  6. The students will be able to use proofreading strategies to edit content and mechanics.
  7. The students will be able to integrate sources in their writing.
