There is a significant amount of literature regarding the role heredity plays in influencing human behavior. Do you believe that heredity factors play a greater or lesser role than environmental and other non-biological factors in the onset of criminal behavior? If one accepts that heredity plays a significant factor in determining the prevalence of criminal behavior, what societal impact might that have on individuals found “predisposed” to criminal behavior? How might a situationist view the influence of heredity’s impact on criminal behavior?
