Specifics: You will use a youtube video of your choice, which you believe can meet the assignment objectives, as the artifact. The video should be from a television show, movie, play, etc. that displays an example of a meaningful communicative exchange. This can be for the clips portrayal of a relationship, a speech, a campaign, or whatever you believe will be the best artifact to analyze the core concepts you wish to explain. You will analyze the youtube clip utilizing the language and concepts presented in your textbook and reviewed in the lectures. Remember that in order to do well on the assignment, you should be focused on how the example ties in together with the material from the textbook. I am not looking for an explanation of or summary of the textbook, I want you to APPLY the concepts to the video clip.
Example: If I were to select the film 12 Angry Men, I could select a specific clip that is available on youtube or the entire movie. If you believe that there is a clip that is fertile ground enough to sustain your 3 page paper, then focus on it, but if not you can utilize the entire movie as your artifact.
