at the end of the semester the 5 2 page papers have to be combined to form a 10 page essay.

Assignment Instructions
Select a person, event, etc. from the time period covered by our class (1497 CE to 1877 CE) and email your proposed subject to me.
Locate at least one primary source (a source from that person or that era) and secondary sources (created by someone more recently).
Create a list of 30 topics that you would like to cover with regards to your subject.
Create an outline of how you are going to cover those topics.
Skip any sort of introductory paragraph (we will return to that later in the semester). Essentially, start with the first topic in your list of 30 topics.
Use two to four citations (direct quotes from your primary and secondary sources) in each paragraph.
Use supertext and footnotes to cite each quotation.
